Wolverhampton Wanderers are signing Vítor Ferreira from FC Porto, according to reports from Portugal on Monday.
Record is the one reporting that the midfielder is joining Wolves on a loan deal, and the agreement includes an option to buy him for €20m.
The 20-year-old is currently with Portugal’s U-21 team, and according to the story, he won’t even return to Porto, as the move to the Molineux side is already agreed. He’s going straight to England instead.
Vitor Ferreira only has 12 appearances for Porto’s first team. All of them were made this season, and he hasn’t even started a league game so far. But he was well protected with a contract until 2024 and a release clause of €40m.
At the weekend, Wolves announced the signing of Porto starlet Fábio Silva.
Unsurprisingly, both players have their career managed by Jorge Mendes’ company Gestifute, who has been involved in many Wolves deals in the past few years.
