West Ham United will ‘prepare a new offensive’ for Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski ‘in the coming hours’ as they push to get a deal over the line.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who back up reports from earlier today that West Ham are determined to sign the Poland star.

Earlier, we covered reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport and Il Mattino that stated West Ham are ‘serious’ about Zielinski and are offering him big wages to move to the London Stadium.

CM offer more detail on this front, explaining that there is a ‘concrete negotiation’ between Napoli and West Ham for the midfielder.

The Hammers are ‘increasing the pressure’ on their Italian counterparts and want to close a deal ‘at short notice’.

Their first offer of €25m was rejected by Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis but West Ham are intending to return with an improved offer.

Zielinski was not keen on losing out on Champions League football this season but West Ham have fixed that problem by offering him €6m a year including bonuses. He’s now happy to make the move.

De Laurentiis, meanwhile, has been ‘clear’ with West Ham; they have to hit €35m for him to sanction a transfer.

The two clubs are ‘not so far apart’ at this moment in time and West Ham will return with an improved bid to secure their ‘second coup’ in Italy after the signing of Gianluca Scamacca.
