Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz has spoken to Turkish newspaper AMK Spor about West Ham United target Garry Rodrigues.
The attacker was recently linked with the Hammers after reports they’d tabled a bid for the player.
Asked about the Cape Verde international’s future Cengiz said “For Rodrigues, I can say the agent is trying to turn his head. He’s one of our most important players, you can see it on the pitch.
“But the agent keeps knocking on his door about a potential move. Also they are saying he needs to get a pay rise or other things. This is not ethical.”
Rodrigues has been in impressive form for Galatasaray this season which has brought attention from Premier League clubs, including West Ham.
Earlier this month we covered reports from the Turkish press that West Ham have made a €12m offer for the player, but Galatasaray are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €18m.
The Hammers will be looking to bolster their attacking options in the summer, and it seems Rodrigues is on their shortlist.
Fellow Premier League sides Everton and Newcastle United have also been linked.
