Late on Friday evening, Calciomercato made a claim about West Ham and Felipe Caicedo.
It was stated the Premier League club have already made an approach to sign the striker in June. The claim wasn’t just that the Hammers had made contact, Calciomercato say they’ve made a proposal for Caicedo.
This has been blocked by the Serie A club, because they have no intention of selling the player.
Caicedo has eight goals and five assists in 29 appearances for Lazio so far this season, and his contract with the club lasts until June 2022.
It’s not that long ago he was being linked with a move to Leeds United, and he scored a total of nine goals last season and six the season before.
This isn’t a player West Ham would be falling over themselves to sign, especially considering he’s 31 years of age. Therefore, them making a proposal already just doesn’t seem likely.
