Sabah claim Besiktas and West Bromwich Albion are ‘playing chess’ over the signing of Nacer Chadli after reports the Turkish club have agreed personal terms with the player.

According to Sabah, Besiktas have got an agreement with Chadli and he’s set to earn nearly €2.5m a season with the Turkish club.

The Istanbul side are reportedly looking to loan Chadli with a buying option and are currently waiting for the last days of the transfer window, in the hope West Brom may reduce the price.

It’s claimed West Brom are looking to loan Chadli to a Premier League club to get more money but, as far as the Turkish media are concerned, the Belgian insists he’s only interested in playing for Besiktas.

Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Besiktas president Fikret Orman will fly to England next week to finalise a deal for the West Brom player, but it seems there’s still a bit of negotiating to carry out.

The Belgium international is expected to leave the Baggies following their relegation to the Championship.
