Belgium’s DH report Watford are on the verge of signing Dodi Lukebakio.

Who?

The 20 year old is a left footed winger who can play on either side. He’s currently on loan at Charleroi from Anderlecht, a club where he came through the youth system.

Charleroi have a buying option of €1.5m and are currently using that, but Lukebakio will then be sold to Watford, according to the Belgian claims.

It’s explained Charleroi will be able to make themselves a nice little January profit, and also see the back of a player they believe is being disruptive.

There’s been an ‘increasingly tense’ situation around the player after disappointing performances and his failure to adapt to the philosophies of the club.

To avoid it causing a problem at the club, he’s being edged out, and Watford are said to be the takers.

Quite how a player deemed not good enough yet for Anderlecht, so he’s loaned out to Charleroi, where he’s disappointed, can then end up in the Premier League is anyone’s guess.

Watford may feel they’ve found a rough diamond in Dodi Lukebakio.
