Short of printing a picture alongside the Sunday Express article and adding LOL, Catalan newspaper Sport couldn’t have really rubbished Antonio Conte to Barcelona more.
The Catalan newspaper even sound annoyed about how ridiculous the claim is. Sport say any football fan would know Barcelona being interested in Conte is ‘unthinkable’, despite there being respect for the manager’s achievements.
The Italian manager’s style simply wouldn’t fit, which pretty much rules him out. Added to that Roman Abramovich’s strength and unwillingness to pass the manager up… and the switch isn’t happening.
Any Chelsea fans even slightly worried by the Sunday Express claims needn’t panic one bit, explain Sport, because there’s not one bit of Barcelona interest in Conte.
Not even a little. Nothing. Nada.
