AS Roma’s Matías Viña is getting closer to sealing a move to AFC Bournemouth in the winter market, according to multiple claims from Italy.

Gianluca Di Marzio has a short report stating the Cherries have an agreement in place with the Serie A side to take the left-back on loan with a right to buy. They will pay a €1m loan fee to José Mourinho’s side.

The title mentions the 25-year-old is close to joining Bournemouth on a temporary deal this month.

Over at Calciomercato, they also insist ‘there is an agreement’ between Gary O’Neil’s side and the Giallorossi for the Uruguay international. The formula will be an onerous loan deal with the right of redemption set at €8m. The loan fee is €1m.

Mallorca was also an option for the fullback, but they wanted to take him on a dry loan deal, which didn’t please Roma. The Italian club have now agreed a deal with Bournemouth.

It’s claimed the South American could have left for England late on Tuesday to seal a loan move to the Premier League side.

Viña has been restricted to 298 minutes of action from seven matches this season. He will be hoping the situation improves for him at Bournemouth.
