Tottenham Hotspur have been looking at Lautaro Martínez in recent months and have showed interested in the Inter Milan star.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who explain there could be possible contacts for the 24-year-old in the next few days, as Spurs plan to return to the table for him.
It’s claimed contacts between the parties [likely the two clubs] are expected to take place next week to understand the feasibility the costs involved of a deal.
This could take place after the Serie A side have more clarity with the potential arrivals of Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku. Spurs, for their part, are ‘ready to return to the assault’ for the Nerazzurri forward, at the instigation of Antonio Conte.
Alfredo Pedullà explains the Italian club is working to close deals for Dybala and Lukaku. Martínez, for his part, wants to stay, and this has been repeatedly stressed by his agent.
However, Conte thinks of the South American. Therefore, Spurs will ‘try with a mega offer’ to secure his services. The report suggests an offer in excess of €90m could be expected. If that were to happen, then both Inter and the attacker will have a decision to make.
Alfredo Pedullà states that two things are certain; the player wants to stay at Inter, and Tottenham ‘will do the impossible’ to take Martínez away from the San Siro.
Inter will have to raise funds and Spurs are keen to sign Martínez. Therefore, it will be interesting to see the final outcome of this saga.
