While claims of Bayern Munich joining the race to sign Radu Dragușin have emerged in the Italian media, it’s still Tottenham who remain ‘ahead’ in the race to sign the Romania international.

That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who makes it clear the London side are doing everything they can to get a transfer over the line.

As things stand, Genoa are ‘working’ with Tottenham to sell their star, as Spurs ‘continue to increase the offer’ for the centre-back.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are said to be aiming to close the transfer ‘as soon as possible’ in order to avoid the drama of having other teams join the race to acquire the player.

Bayern Munich are mentioned, and are said to be ‘pressing’, although there doesn’t appear to be an offer just yet from the Bavarians.

In Italy, both Napoli and AC Milan have come knocking, with the former making an official offer, while the latter have not.

It’s said Genoa want ‘at least €20m in cash’ to let their player go, suggesting that’s the amount they want up front in January.

Whether Tottenham are prepared to offer that remains to be seen, but they remain at the front of the queue, hard in negotiations with their Italian counterparts.
