Adrien Rabiot is one of the major names in the transfer rumour mill right now, and with good reason.

The midfielder’s contract ends in June and the Catalan media this week said he’d given his nod to Barcelona.

That wasn’t echoed in France, with Le Parisien then reporting PSG were still trying for a renewal but were also formulating a plan to a sell to a ‘friend’ in the January window, with Tottenham and Juventus named as the possibles.

Spurs have signed Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura from PSG relatively recently, so the lines of communication are very much established between the two clubs.

Friday saw Paris United, a source good for PSG claims, say Tottenham and Manchester City have been in talks with the player’s entourage for weeks.

Also on Friday, Leggo in Italy had an article on AS Roma interest. The newspaper made some curious claims about Tottenham.

They believe, that just like with Roma, Franco Baldini is a ‘consultant’ for the London club and put Rabiot on their shopping list.

The Leggo claims are very much of now, not that he was a consultant, but that he is.

Rabiot and Spurs have been linked for years, so perhaps when Baldini was working officially for the club he started the whole thing.
