Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport today features an update on the situation of Denzel Dumfries, whose season at Inter Milan has been drawing many rumours about his future.
Their report starts by pointing out the ‘talk’ of a potential move to the Premier League, where several clubs are said to be interested, with Tottenham Hotspur ‘above all’.
Spurs’ chase, however, may not mean a lot while they don’t actually move for Dumfries. Because according to the report, the first attempt could arrive from Germany.
Gazzetta claims that Bayern Munich are attentive to the player as well. The club are said to be looking for a right-winger, and like his ‘growth and dedication’, as well aas ‘technique and athletics’.
The Bundesliga giants, however, have another player for the position in their sights, which is Ajax’s Noussair Mazraoui. And in case they go for him first, an offer for Dumfries would be ‘unlikely’.
That’s undoubtedly the scenario which could still give Tottenham a chance to land the Inter Milan player, who has five goals and five assists in Serie A this season.
Last week, the very same Gazzetta suggested Spurs would need at least €30m to take him from the Nerazzurri this summer.
