On April 30th, we covered claims from Sky Italia and CalcioNapoli24, who explained that Napoli’s offer for Kieran Trippier was turned down by Tottenham Hotspur.
The Naples based club are to looking to strengthen defence and Calciomercato claims they are looking at several players. For the right-back position, the England international is a ‘priority’ target.
However, an approach to sign him has been made tough by Spurs because they are demanding €35m to part ways with the 28-year-old, which is why Napoli are looking at alternatives.
Rai Sport journalist Ciro Venerato spoke to CalcioNapoli24 to provide the latest update.
He said Mauricio Pochettino’s side are demanding €35m, but Napoli only offer €15m, meaning there is a €20m difference in valuation between the two clubs.
Therefore, according to Venerato, Trippier ‘will not arrive’ at the Italian club as it is ‘very difficult’ for them to do business when their offer is so short of Tottenham’s demands.
