On April 20th, Sport Mediaset reported Napoli are following Kieran Trippier, but Tottenham Hotspur have postponed discussions about the right-back until the end of the season.

It was also reported the 28-year-old is followed by Manchester United with ‘great interest’.

Carlo Ancelotti has seen his side seal a berth in next season’s Champions League and the Naples club have already started planning for next season.

Sky Sport in Italy claims the Serie A outfit are looking at incoming transfers and the defender is leading the summer target list. After conducting several surveys for the England international, the two clubs have now initiated contacts.

It’s claimed Napoli’s offer is in the region of €18m-€20m, while the Premier League outfit’s demand is around €35m for the player. Even though there is a gap between the two clubs’ valuation, they ‘will still deal with it’.

United could become an ‘obstacle’ for Napoli in Trippier’s chase, but Sky Italia doesn’t provide any further information.

Rai Sport journalist Ciro Venerato claims Napoli’s initial offer of €15m has been turned down by Tottenham as they demand €35m for Trippier.

“Official offer of Napoli for Trippier was €15m. Tottenham said no, with Spurs asking for €35m. Almost nuanced negotiations,” Venerato told CalcioNapoli24.
