Although there were no goals between Argentine and Brazil on Tuesday evening, the match was still quite eventful.

The Brazil media are furious about an alleged Nicolas Otamendi elbow on Leeds United player Raphinha, which saw the attacker bloodied yet didn’t see a red card recommended by VAR.

Over in Argentina, the big story is that the country has now qualified for the World Cup in Qatar, however, the 0-0 didn’t come without cost.

Not long after the second half started, Tottenham defender Cristian Romero pulled up with an injury. He tried to carry on, but then had to be taken off, and TyC Sports say the situation ‘alarmed everyone’.

Fortunately for Argentina it didn’t cause them too much damage, and they managed to keep a clean-sheet even without the Spurs player.

Brazil’s Matheus Cunha had been through on goal, and Romero chased after him for a challenge, which he was booked for. As play stopped, the Tottenham player held the back of his left leg, and then took to the ground.

Romero got up and signalled to the bench that he was ok, despite still rubbing the back of his leg. Argentina then subbed him off, and TyC say the defender will have to go through tests to see if he can be available for Tottenham at the weekend.
