Earlier on Monday, we covered an article regarding the future of Sergio Reguilón, who was expected to return to Tottenham.

The defender, on loan at Atlético Madrid, has currently barely played for Diego Simeone, with injuries and other players standing in his way, and it appears a bad situation has just gotten worse.

That’s because the Tottenham loanee has injured himself once again, as reported by Marca, as they explain the defender ‘withdrew from training’.

He was ‘unable to finish training’ and the outlet says that everything points to some sort of muscle tear in his right thigh.

They add the Tottenham man will now begin his physiotherapy sessions and undergo specific training to help him come back from this as quickly as possible.

Either way, the belief is that he will be out for the ‘next few weeks’, although everyone will have to wait for Atlético Madrid to fully extent of the injury before getting a more specific timeframe.

To date, the Tottenham defender has made just five appearances for the La Liga side since his arrival.
