Good news, Tottenham fans: not only do you now have an actual manager at the club, you could also quickly have your first signing.

That would be Takehiro Tomiyasu, who is currently contracted to Bologna and has become a recurring name in the Spurs rumours these past few days.

Seemingly driven by Fabio Paratici, the interest from Tottenham has been growing, to the point where they are now in the lead to acquire him.

That’s according to CalcioAtalanta, who, focusing on their own local club’s interest in the player, explain they have learned that Tomiyasu ‘would be particularly enthusiastic about the Spurs solution’, and that despite their non qualification to either the Champions League or the Europa League.

The interest from Tottenham ‘has been very strong for days’, and the current situation ‘seems to remove’ Atalanta from the race, especially since ‘the rumours relating to an offer of about €18m’ seem to be confirmed.
