After spending the second half of last season on loan at Valencia and Villarreal respectively, Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso have joined Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season training.

However, the duo must resolve their futures at the north London club. That’s according to Super Deporte, who explain they are ‘looking to pack their bags’ this summer, in search of more game time.

Spurs’ plan to send Gil out on loan again. With regards to the Argentina international, they want to take advantage of his impressive displays for Villarreal, to make money through his sale.

Antonio Conte’s side are aware the players have suitors, but for now, the report explains they ‘show off’ the Spaniard and the former Real Betis man’s talents.

Gil needs peace of mind, which cannot be achieved with a return to Valencia, as he believes Los Ches are a ‘ticking time bomb’. The door isn’t closed, but the possibility to return looks slim.

This, coupled with interest from four other La Liga sides, with Real Sociedad in pole, makes it difficult for Valencia to sign the ex-Sevilla man this summer.

With regards to Lo Celso, Villarreal have never hidden their interest. Tottenham, who are looking to earn money through the South American’s sale, will not make it easy for them.

Villarreal chairman Fernando Roig has already expressed his desire to bring Lo Celso back to the club.

Unai Emery’s side must sell some of their players before they invest on the Tottenham attacking midfielder. Apart from that, Villarreal will also face competition from Atlético Madrid to take Lo Celso.

With both Gil and Lo Celso ‘looking to pack their bags’ and Tottenham willing to let them go out, it remains to be seen where they will end up next season.
