On Monday, AS stated Tottenham Hotspur are expected to return for Sevilla star Yassine Bounou, also known as Bono, in the summer, after they made an attempt in January.

The north London club’s interest in the 31-year-old is backed up by La Razón, who also provide more information on this case.

Hugo Lloris is the first-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham but that could change after this season if Bono or another experienced stopper were to arrive at the club.

Spurs interest in the Morocco international isn’t new as they looked at him last summer, when he was valued at €30m. Since then, he has impressed for Morocco at the World Cup and this has seen his valuation rise.

Bono has a €50m release clause in his contract. Tottenham are interested in the stopper and are ‘confident of achieving a significant reduction’ by including Bryan Gil as part of the deal.

Antonio Conte’s side allowed the Spaniard to return to the La Liga side on a dry loan deal in January. La Razón state Tottenham ‘want to use’ Gil to sign Bono at a reduced price in the summer.

There’s no mention of whether Sevilla would be interested in this specific operation.
