The Cristiano Ronaldo circus is stuttering forward in Spain, and his status at Real Madrid continues to be shaken.
On Tuesday, El Confidencial published as article headlined ‘The message of Florentino to Cristiano: you will leave when and where Real Madrid says’, which explained just how bad the situation is for the Ballon d’Or holder right now.
It was reiterated Ronadlo has told teammates he wants a return to Manchester United, and on Wednesday El Confidencial follow it up.
There’s no news on Manchester United interest, probably because there isn’t any, but the Spanish media outlet say Ronaldo’s teammates are convinced a transfer will happen in the summer.
Ronaldo is ‘on a path of no return’, and needs to find a new club for next season, which could be easier said than done. ‘It remains to be seen’ whether Manchester United and PSG are interested, and whilst there’d always be interest from China, El Confidencial believe new guidelines on football from the Chinese government would have an impact.
Maybe Jorge Mendes can use his connections to get Ronaldo to Wolves.
Surely this can all be reversed by a few goals from the player, but the current reporting on him from Real Madrid’s friendly media shows there’s certainly no preferential treatment going his way.
