Newcastle United fullback Kieran Trippier may not be Bayern Munich’s priority for the January window, but the German club’s interest in the player continues to make noise in the local media.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg today shares a new update on the Bundesliga side’s chase for a fullback, again claiming they really want Nordi Mukiele signed from Paris Saint Germain.

Bayern Munich are said to be ‘confident’ that a move can be agreed in the next few days, as the clubs negotiate a loan deal.

Still, it’s said ‘time is running out’, and that’s why the German club continue their talks with Newcastle for Trippier.

With no breakthrough in the negotiations for Mukiele, the Bundesliga side continue to keep the English player on the table as their Plan B.

Recent reports from the German media claimed that Newcastle demand €15m to let Trippier move this month, while the player is requesting a salary worth €10m per season.

That’s certainly a lot for a Plan B, and everything should now depend on how Bayern’s talks for Mukiele will go.
