With Manchester United and Ajax clearly not able to find an agreement for Antony just yet, the Dutch media continue having more stories about Cody Gakpo, as the PSV winger is also a target for the Red Devils.
One of the topics being discussed in the local press is the price the Eredivisie side should charge the Old Trafford club for the player. And as PowNed today features a couple of interviews, they bring distinct views on that matter.
One of those to speak to them was former Dutch manager Aad de Mos. In the 75-year-old’s opinion, PSV should sell.
“If they can get 40 I would say: tie it up and leave,” said De Mos (via Sport Nieuws).
“The amount should be 50 million. If it isn’t, he won’t leave.”
Earlier today, we covered former Manchester United assistant Rene Meulensteen speaking about Gakpo’s potential transfer.
Besides claiming the player should stay at PSV, where he’d have the chance of playing in the Champions League, he also said it’s not guaranteed the winger would have a good adaptation to the Premier League.
