Fenerbahce boss Dick Advocaat has convinced his former Sunderland player Jeremain Lens to join Fenerbahce and now it’s between two clubs officials to discuss deal according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

New boss Advocaat wants to add a winger and a creative midfielder to his squad which will compete on 3 fronts. Advocaat told club president Aziz Yildirim that signing two quality players will help his bid to win Europa League for the Turkish giants, and Lens is  certainly one of them.

The 64 year old spoke with his compatriot Lens on the telephone and 28-year old winger is very excited at the prospect of playing for Fenerbahce and is said to have replied positively.

Fenerbahce want to loan Jeremain Lens with a view to making it permanent, and Sunderland are said to be keen to make it happen. Lens played 45 minutes for Sunderland as they lost 2-1 to newly promoted Middlesbrough.

The former PSV and Dinamo Kiev player is currently represented by Kees Vos, who is very close to Fenerbahce as he also represents Fenerbahce’s legendary Dutchman Robin van Persie.
