The word in Spain is that Roque Mesa’s transfer to Swansea City is pretty much done.

According to Canarias 7, a local outlet from Las Palmas, the player is being sold for €13m and should be signing for the Premier League side soon.

It’s claimed that UD Las Palmas had many offers for the player, but none of them gets close to Swansea’s. That’s why the Spanish side’s president Miguel Ángel Ramírez has already travelled to close the deal.

Las Palmas believe the price is fair in the current market, even though Mesa has a €30m release clause. The only final debating point has been about the percentage the Spanish club would get in case Swansea sell the player for a profit in the future.

Roque Mesa is waiting for things to be sorted, and will get a personal offer he can’t refuse. This will his first club outside of Spain. Roma and Sevilla are other clubs who have been linked to him recently.
