Fotospor claim Championship side Swansea City are interested in signing Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Kerem Baykus.

The 19 year old is widely seen as the ‘new Yusuf Yazici’, who Trabzonspor sold to Lille for €17m in the summer.

According to the Turkish website, Swansea will face competition from Serie A side Lazio and Bundesliga’s Freiburg.

However, Trabzonspor don’t want to lose their prized asset without giving him a chance in the first team and a transfer to Wales is unlikely at this stage of his career.

It’s explained Trabzonspor manager Unal Karaman is a big fan of the young midfielder, with reports he’s been following his performances in the youth team very closely. Baykus is likely to be given a chance in the first team in the coming weeks in order to prove his worth.

The youngster has made six appearances for the Super Lig club’s U19 side, scoring two goals. He is under contract until June 2023.
