We are now July 11th, and Paulo Dybala still hasn’t found himself a club.
Few were expecting this scenario when it was made clear he would be leaving Juventus on a free, and while his first choice might not have been a move to the Premier League, he could very well end there.
The past few days have seen an increase in stories suggesting Manchester United, who still haven’t managed to get their transfer window fully going, could seriously think about it if Cristiano Ronaldo were to leave, and they continue on Monday.
While there are many opportunities for Dybala to stay in Italy, the clubs where he could go have yet to seriously come forward, which leaves him with limited choices.
That’s why, when Gazzetta dello Sport look at his situation, they explain that ‘if Manchester United wants to sink the blow from the Premier League, Paulo would soon find his place’.
They, in a similar type of article to Gazzetta, add that ‘Arsenal, but especially Manchester United’ could be options for him, with the later being the case ‘if they lose CR7 and will want an extra star’.
Certainly something to keep an eye on, because the Cristiano Ronaldo mess at Old Trafford doesn’t appear to be close to being resolved, regardless of what Erik ten Hag says in his press conferences.
In the meantime, Dybala’s agents will be hard at work to find their client a new club so he can get the most out of pre-season, perhaps with one eye on Manchester United… Just in case…
