ESPN Brasil today features an interview with Carlos Vinícius, who was at Tottenham Hotspur last season during a loan spell from Benfica.

Recalling the season he had in London, the 26-year-old talked about some of the partners he had in the team’s attack, calling Harry Kane a ‘silent leader’, and making several compliments to the English striker in the process.

And it turns out Carlos Vinícius also highlights the great duo which the Spurs star has with Heung-min Son, claiming they deserve to win big things at the club.

“They make a perfect duo because one fits with the other,” Carlos Vinícius told ESPN Brasil.

“In terms of pairing, they are way ahead. What they need is only one title. Unfortunately it hasn’t come yet, but this season they’ll bring it. They deserve it because they are for many years proving they have the quality to be champions. They are top level players.”

Signed from Benfica on a one-year loan spell, Carlos Vinícius had 10 goals and three assists in 22 appearances for Tottenham, and while the London side had a buying option for him, they chose against triggering it when the time came.

When returning to the Eagles this summer, he ended up leaving again on another loan, this time to PSV Eindhoven.

He’s made nine appearances for them so far, and is still to score a goal.
