Stoke City and West Ham are interested in signing young French midfielder Lucas Tousart, reports France Football.
The 19-year-old has made just one senior appearance for Lyon, but caught the eye of onlookers during the UEFA European Under-19 Championship when France won the competition.
France Football say Tousart could leave the Ligue 1 club before the August 31st deadline, but Lyon don’t want to sell the player. The Ligue 1 club would want to send the youngster out on loan, and we’re not really sure if Stoke City or West Ham would be interested in a loan deal.
Tousart is primarily a defensive midfielder, and can also play in an advanced position. He’d be a useful squad addition but Stoke and West Ham probably have no interest in developing him for Lyon.
The French midfielder signed for the club at the start of last season, and has another three years left on his contract.
