Hirving Lozano’s father has finally made the player’s situation more clear. In an interview with Medio Tiempo, Jesus Lozano said his son hasn’t agreed a transfer to Manchester United yet, but the Red Devils’ interest is real.
If you haven’t followed how confusing this saga has been, we suggest reading a timeline we made with all the events which linked him to a Manchester United deal.
But despite all the mess, it seems that United haven’t made an official bid yet. This is what the winger’s dad said:
“There is interest from Manchester and other clubs, but more for Manchester. It’s still not a sure thing, it is assumed that there is a lot of interest. But it hasn’t been official nor concrete, I think everything will be clarified after the Olympics.”
This whole quote seems to calm things down, meaning that a deal is still far from being reached.
However, a short sentence in the end of Medio Tempo’s story makes it all turn around again: “I believe he’ll not be back from the Olympics”.
So his father suggests that a transfer should be sealed before the end of the tournament, which is on August 19th. It’s hard to know if Mr. Lozano is speculating or not, it looks like we’ll have to wait and see.
