Chelsea FC reportedly don’t want Andreas Christensen to go anywhere. By that, they mean they want him to stay at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he’s been for over an year.

The story is reported by Mundo Deportivo, who claims that the club director Marina Granovskaia has called the German side to tell them the player is staying there.

Why is a Spanish outlet reporting this? Because Barcelona are one of the clubs who are said to be interested in the player, alongside Bayern Munich.

But Chelsea’s decision is not unanimous, accoding to Mundo Deportivo. They say that technical director Michael Emenalo wants the player to return to the club, but that’s not Antonio Conte’s opinion.

The Italian manager still wants a new signing, which would be Leonardo Bonucci. He’d trust the 29-year-old more, as they’ve worked together during a few years at Juventus.

Mundo Deportivo don’t seem to have a good reason why Barcelona won’t try the signing, but this rejection from Conte is very convenient to be reported by them right now.
