Celtic are reportedly winning the race against Betis for the signing of Patrick Bamford.

The Chelsea youngster, who’s set to be loaned once again, is having his future carefully decided by the Blues’ board.

The interest in a deal with Betis was talked about at the end of last season, when Charly Musonda’s good performances at the club made the agents of other Chelsea youngsters sit up and take notice.

But now Brendan Rodgers’ side is said to be the most likely destination, as Estádio Desportivo says Bamford is very close to joining the Scottish club.

The striker spent the last season on loan at Crystal Palace and Norwich, and despite having played 16 games for these clubs, he didn’t score any goals.
