Southampton beat Premier League champions Leicester City 3-0 at the weekend, which sees Claude Puel’s men rise to 11th in the table.
There’s no such worry for Puel, and James Ward-Prowse got the Southampton performance off to a good start with a goal within the first half hour. It was the 22 year old’s first goal in 22 games and his performance has brought wider recognition.

Ward-Prowse was one of three Premier League players named in the team and was given 8 out 10, which is a very good mark considering Italian ratings are usually harsh.
The midfielder extended his contract with Southampton in May 2016 and it now runs until June 2022, so if Ward-Prowse’s performance has caught the eye of any clubs, they’d have a struggle getting him away from his current club.
