Southampton January signing’s exit ‘expected to be completed in a short time’ – Negotiations ‘finished’

Southampton January signing Mislav Oršić is on the verge of joining Trabzonspor, with a deal ‘expected to be completed in a short time’.

That’s according to Fotomaç, who say that negotiations between the Turkish side and Southampton have now ‘finished’.

Oršić joined Southampton in the January transfer window as the Saints looked to strengthen their forward line that month.

He barely featured for the club before the end of the season, though, with neither Nathan Jones nor Ruben Selles utilising him in Southampton’s unsuccessful fight against relegation.

Several reports have now made it clear he will be shipped out post haste as neither he or Southampton want to continue their relationship and Trabzonspor have been showing an increased interest in a deal.

Fotomaç say they have now ‘shook hands’ on negotiations with Southampton and the transfer is expected to be finalised in a short time.

They make no mention of the deal in place, whether the Turkish side are paying what the Saints want or if they have managed to work out a loan deal, just that negotiations are now down and Oršić appears to be on his way to the Super Lig.
