With new rumours linking Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura to a return to São Paulo, it’s time for the Brazilian media to clear up the story once again.

Journalist Jorge Nicola today features a video talking about this possibility, pointing out that it’s just a matter of time until the 29-year-old moves back to his old club.

Lucas is often showing he’s watching São Paulo games, besides speaking to fans and being friends from people at the club. So there’s some certainty that the transfer is happening someday.

However, that return isn’t that close, because Nicola managed to speak to Junior Pedroso, the winger’s agent, who claimed it’s quite unlikely he’ll move to Brazil anytime soon.

“The possibility of Lucas’ return now is very, very, very small”, Junior Pedroso told Jorge Nicola.

Asked about the reason, Pedroso pointed out that Lucas is currently a starter at Tottenham, where he has 12 appearances under Nuno Espíriito Santo so far.

Lucas Moura came through São Paulo’s youth ranks, started his professional career at the club and left them for Paris Saint Germain in 2013.

Then after five years in France, he joined Spurs, where he has a contract running until 2024.
