According to Greek website Sdna.Gr, Panathinaikos are interested in signing Celtic winger Lewis Morgan.
Yesterday we covered claims from Greece that Pana’s sporting director Nikos Dabizas travelled to Scotland last month to watch Celtic’s Michael Johnston against Hearts, and Sdna now report Morgan is also on the Greek club’s radar.
Panathinaikos are looking to add pace in the wide areas this summer and they’ve also been linked with Newcastle United attacker Callum Roberts.
It’s reported Celtic want to keep Johnston in their squad for next season but even if they decide to loan him out, they don’t want him to play outside the United Kingdom.
However, for Morgan, Sdna say Dabizas received positive feedback and is currently considering making an offer for the 22 year old.
Morgan spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland where he made 17 appearances in League One.
He is under contract with Celtic until June 2022.
