According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray have made a proposal to West Ham United forward Javier Hernandez.

Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that the Turkish champions were targeting the Mexico international and that they’ve already opened talks.

Fanatik have today reported on the latest developments with regards to Galatasaray’s pursuit of Hernandez and say they’ve offered the player €3m a season. This would be based on a two year contract, with the option of another year.

However, the West Ham man is said to be holding out for €4m a season and subsequently talks will continue in the coming days.

With Galatasaray in the Champions League group stages next season they are keen to bring in a No.9 this summer and the Mexican looks to be an option at this stage.

Last season the 31 year old made 25 appearances for West Ham in the Premier League and scored 7 goals. He has a year left on his current Hammers contract.
