Scott Parker appears set to complete his move to Burnley today, with a trip to their training ground planned for today to finalise matters.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that the deal for him to replace Vincent Kompany at Burnley is now done.

He reports that Parker has completed a deal with Burnley to become their new manager following Kompany’s move to Bayern Munich.

A deal is now in place and the English coach will, at some point today, travel to the club’s training ground to meet the current squad and employees.

He will then ‘go through the usual formalities’ before signing his contract and becoming their new manager officially.

It could be a day of double deals too as journalist Marc Mechenoua reports that Parker may be close to sealing his first signing too.

According to his SM Caen striker Andreas Hountondji is on the verge of making the move to Turf Moor.

He reports that the player had been targeted, and made a priority, by Royal Antwerp but they have been beaten to the punch by Burnley.

The striker who managed five goals in 16 games for the French club last season, has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Burnley and has spoken to Scott Parker about the move to the club.

All indications are that a deal is ready to be finalised and he could be come Parker’s first signing, after he signs his contract at some point today.
