Even though Maurrizio Sarri is still to be confirmed as the new Chelsea manager, reports claim that the Italian boss is already working on new signings with the club’s board.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport claims that Sarri has already requested three signings, which would be Kalidou Koulibaly, Dries Mertens and Gonzalo Higuain.

But the story is especially about the Argentine striker, who the newspaper has some big interest in, as it would concern their local club Juventus.

For a while the Old Lady have been linked to Alvaro Morata, maybe since the moment he left Turin to join Real Madrid in 2016. Now what Tuttosport points out is that Chelsea and Juventus could work out on a swap, making both sides happy, especially Sarri who ‘insists’ on Higuain.

Both Juventus and Chelsea reportedly consider their strikers to be worth from €60m to €70m. And since the clubs know it would be hard to get that amount in cash, a swap would be the best solution for them.

This isn’t the only opportunity that Juve have on the market, since they could still swap Higuain for Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi, which seems optimistic. So if Chelsea are interested in that kind of deal, maybe they better move before they lose the race for Pipita.
