Ever since that Cristiano Ronaldo interview, everything involving Manchester United has been about the Portuguese superstar.

However, that has also spilled into the Portugal camp, as the national team start their preparation for the World Cup.

A video on social media allegedly showed Cristiano Ronaldo and his club teammate Bruno Fernandes seeming cold and distant, but that was quickly put to bed by Joao Mario, who was at a press conference on Tuesday.

As O Jogo put it, he ‘clarified that nothing happened between the two players’, and even revealed ‘the content of the conversation between them’.

That continued over social media, as Bruno Fernandes ‘joked with that fact that Joao Mario had said what happened yesterday’.

He commented, on an Instagram story: ‘There you are, ruining the covers of the newspapers’, which was ‘accompanied by a laughing emoji.’

So, while Cristiano Ronaldo continues to make headlines with his comments about Manchester United, not everything else surrounding him requires one.

Bruno Fernandes has made 20 appearances for Manchester United this season, scoring three goals and assisting another three, while his unhappy compatriot has scored three and picked up two assists in 16 games.
