Lille president Olivier Létang has told Manchester City and Manchester United he wants €90m for youngster Leny Yoro if they want to sign him in the coming months.

That’s according to Le 10 Sport, who say the French club are demanding an ‘astronomical sum’ before they will consider selling the defender.

They explain that Yoro is being ‘courted by all the major European teams’ after shining in Ligue 1 since making his debut.

He’s one of several youngsters considered to be the ‘nuggets’ of the future and, as a result, is being followed by all the major European teams.

Discussions have already started with some of these teams, and it’s claimed Manchester City and Manchester United have made contact with the French side already.

That was covered earlier this month, when it was claimed that both sides had made concrete moves to try and secure Yoro ahead of the competition.

At this moment in time Lille are not interested in a sale, even if they are accepting of the fact that one will take place at some point, and Létang has indicated this by the price tag he’s put on his player.

According to Le10’s information, he has ‘already communicated’ that he wants at least €90m for the youngster if he is to depart in the January transfer window.

That’s a ‘crazy sum’ for such a young player but an indication of what Lille think of him and their lack of desire for him to move.

Whether it’s enough to put off Manchester City and Manchester United isn’t made clear but it is a huge fee that will surely have them thinking of what their next steps should be following their initial overtures to Lille.
