It appears that no matter what is said, Wolverhampton Wanderers cannot stop clubs from reaching out to Julen Lopetegui.

The Spaniard did a good job turning things around at Molineux last season after the club’s dire start, and that’s caught the eye of Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Despite a previous unsuccessful attempt, journalist Rudy Galletti states the club have ‘got back in touch’ with the Wolves manager to see if they can convince him this time around.

Despite some ‘positive feelings’ emanating from the former Real Madrid boss, there is ‘nothing advanced’ in terms of talks.

They do have an alternative to the Wolves manager, though, and that’s none other than Max Allegri, currently in charge of matters at Juventus.

That being said, they have yet to receive a response from the Italian, who appears intent on returning the Turin club to their previous heights after last season’s administrative debacles.

Wolves ended the season in 13th with Lopetegui in charge, eventually winning 11 games from a possible 38, drawing eight and losing the remaining 19.
