Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are both today named in a story about Torino star Alessandro Buongiorno, and it’s not all positive.
The article comes from FCInterNews, and describes the difficulties that Inter Milan may have to sign the defender, who’s valued at around €40m.
That would normally be a good sign for Premier League clubs, who have a bigger economic power to win that kind of battle.
However, when claiming that Newcastle and Tottenham are the clubs willing to take him to England, and who have moved for him, the report claims those sides ‘don’t convince him that much’.
Buongiorno is said to prefer staying in Italy, and Inter Milan are now set to try to find a solution to find an agreement with Torino.
The Nerazzurri’s idea would be to either include some players in the offer, or try to get him on loan and postpone the bigger payments.
It remains to be seen if Torino would be on board with that, as a more attractive bid from Newcastle or Tottenham could change the whole scenario.
