Earlier this week Italian website TMW launched, or relaunched, Fedor Cernych to Middlesbrough rumours, saying a move could be completed very quickly.
Middlesbrough were set to offer €1m for the Lithuanian attacker, and that would be enough for Jagiellonia Bialystok to sell him.
Those claims were then followed up in Poland, with it being explained Jagiellonia Bialystok’s exit from the Europa League qualifiers made a Cernych to Middlesbrough move possible, despite the English club being rejected earlier this summer.
Now there’s another update, and it’s not so positive for the transfer.
Poranny say Cernych to Middlesbrough won’t be happening, because no offer has arrived. The forward ‘won’t go to England’, according to the Polish media outlet, and whilst he’d be tempted by such an opportunity, there’s no desperation for a sale.
Of course, TMW said Middlesbrough were set to offer €1m, not that they already had, so perhaps there’s still time for things to change on this one.
