According to claims in the Spanish media, Real Valladolid attacker Toni Villa has informed his club he wants a move back to Cultural Leonesa.
The 22 year old has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent days after reports the Championship side could be willing to meet his €4.5m buyout clause.
Diari Mes have today reported Villa wants to return to Cultural this summer in order to be reunited with Ruben de la Barrera. The Cultural coach helped the youngster develop whilst at the club, but Villa has since returned to Real Valladolid after the Spanish club triggered his buy back clause.
Yesterday Leo Noticias reported Leeds United are showing an interest in Villa, and could move in for the player this window.
The Spanish newspaper claim Leeds United have approached Real Valladolid with regards to signing Villa, and even though they want to avoid paying his €4.5m termination fee, they could still be open to going to the full amount.
Whilst Villa preferring Cultural is a problem for Leeds, it’s pretty certain the Segunda side wouldn’t go near the €4.5m clause, which gives the Championship side a financial advantage.
