Calciomercato sound more optimistic than some others in the Italian media about Emre Can moving to Juventus this summer.
It’s claimed once again that Can has given his word to Juventus that he’ll sign for them when his Liverpool transfer ends, and it’s stated the priority is now to get that contract signed and make an official announcement so the transfer can be boxed off.
Juventus want to recruit two midfielders this summer for a combined €30m, so getting Can for free because of his Liverpool contract situation would allow them to spend a big chunk of that budget on someone else.
Calciomercato point out some of the €30m would go to paying Can a free transfer premium and also providing commission to his agents for arranging the deal.
Whilst it’s stated Liverpool’s efforts to get a renewal have continued, in Italy a stay at Anfield isn’t considered a likely outcome.
There have been links with Real Madrid and Manchester City recently, but Juventus looks the likeliest destination, and has done for some time.
