With Gianluca Scamacca not having a big impact at West Ham United, the Italian media is often talking about his first few months in the Premier League.

The striker has eight goals in 27 appearances so far, and even though that isn’t something terrible, his home country’s press expected a lot more following his €36m move from Sassuolo last summer.

That’s the reason TuttoMercatoWeb now feature a story wondering if Scamacca ‘really has a future at West Ham’.

The outlet claims that the 24-year-old had a ‘good start’ at the club, but following injury issues, he lost place in the team. With manager David Moyes claiming the player must improve his physique, it’s pointed out those were ‘harsh words’ from the Hammers boss, and the striker has been ‘teased’ by his coach.

TuttoMercatoWeb then says Scamacca’s future at West Ham is ‘far from guaranteed’, especially with them signing Danny Ings in January. That’s why they highlight the ‘Italian sirens’, with Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan all being interested in the striker in the past.

It’s said those Serie A sides are ‘already starting to make themselves heard’, so that’s a rumour which should grow significantly in the coming weeks.
