As the German media continues to share updates on Moussa Diaby’s transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Aston Villa, it seems like just a matter of time until the move is confirmed by the clubs.

The latest news comes from Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claims the winger ‘will join’ the Villans ‘in the next few days’.

The reporter states this is ‘almost a done deal,’ as Diaby ‘will leave the training camp’ to complete a move to Aston Villa.

According to this latest report, the ‘total package’ for this transfer will cost the Villans between €55m and €60m, with bonuses included.

It seems Thursday was a decisive day for Aston Villa to close a deal for Diaby, as the German media has been featuring many updates on how the negotiation is about to be done.

Previous stories had claimed that the Premier League side offered €45m, with the German club demanding €60m. Those claims were followed by reports today saying there was an agreement in principle for €50m+, and we now see that the bonus could make it reach the price requested by Bayer Leverkusen.
