FC Porto striker Moussa Marega is forcing his way out to West Ham United, according to reports from the Portuguese press this Friday.
Outlet Record claims the player has refused to train ahead of the Supercup, and sources close to him have said he’s not playing the game either.
The reason for that is that Marega hopes he’s authorised to complete a move to the Hammers. The Premier League side are reportedly willing to take him in a €30m deal.
Other local outlets such as O Jogo confirm that he has missed the training session, and expect manager Sergio Conceição to explain it in a press conference later today.
Earlier this week, it was widely reported in Portugal that David Sullivan Jr had visited Porto looking to build deals for Yacine Brahimi and Moussa Marega. The Portuguese press had been pretty convinced that neither of the players wanted the move, but now seem to be changing their mind.
Reports from France are also emerging this evening claiming that the Hammers’ chase is currently ‘very hot’. Journalist Nicolas Vilas recalls that the player has a €40m release clause.
