Manchester City and Sporting continue negotiating for the transfer of Pedro Porro, according to claims from Portugal today.

The updates brought by O Jogo say the clubs only need to agree about the future buying option so the player can move to Lisbon on a loan deal.

The outlet reports Manchester City and Sporting have already found a deal for a two-year spell, with Porro’s salary being split between the clubs.

However, the Lions would like to pay less than €10m in case they choose to sign the player permanently in 2022. And Manchester City want this amount to be €12m, which is the same price they paid to sign him from Girona a year ago.

Porro spent last season in Spain, where he made 15 appearances for Real Valladolid, and that’s why Sporting don’t think he’s worth that much.

O Jogo says there’s only this clause left to resolve before the player can  have his medical with Sporting and sign for the Lions.

Newspaper Record reports an agreement as well. They say Porro is moving on a two-year loan deal, and the transfer should be completed and announced before the end of the week.
