On Tuesday we covered claims from Italy that were far more optimistic about West Ham signing Felipe Anderson, after a long and frustrating saga.

That followed similar claims from England and Brazil, and it genuinely seems there may have been a step forward on the potential transfer.

In the afternoon on Tuesday, TMW claimed West Ham are ‘in Italy’ to try and conclude the Anderson signing, and once they’ve sorted out the deal with Lazio it was stated they’d move on to Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro.

Now TMW report that Anderson hasn’t turned up for his medical tests at Lazio yet. He was expected today but is ‘absent’.

Like in most countries, footballers in Italy have to go through full medical tests ahead of preseason training, to assess their fitness level and check for any concerns.

It’s claimed the player’s absence gives ‘more of a clue’ on his future, and whilst Lazio have pushed out that Anderson can have his tests on Friday, TMW say he could actually be doing so with a new club either before or after then.
